On May 30, 2019, I filed a complaint with the Department of Community Affairs against the City of East Point concerning the misuse of Hotel-Motel Tax funds. I was out of State on the date of the hearing, so I requested a copy of the Preliminary Report of Findings and Recommendations given to the City at the December 3, 2019 Department of Community Affairs Hearing before the Hotel-Motel Tax Performance Review Board.
Here is a copy of the twenty-two page Report complete with the stating of each complaint along with the City’s response and the Review Board recommendation; City invoices and a host of relevant information about plans for the Auditorium and the City Hall. It is well worth the reading.
